Are you weary of winter and ready for spring? Why not plan an April-May getaway in the Tennessee Smoky Mountains? As soon as spring rolls around, these breathtaking mountains come alive with warmth and beauty.

Result? You can enjoy the great outdoors without bundling up in bulky outerwear. Simply sport your favorite tees and jeans during the day. And, when cool breezes stir, pull on a lightweight sweater or jacket to take the chill off.
Nature paints a spectacular picture at this time of year. From March onward, the meadows and woodlands are carpeted with native wildflowers, including trillium, bloodroot, bishop's cap, trout-lily, Dutchman's breeches, squirrel corn, and more.

Plus, listen for the lilting tunes of the mountains' many songbirds, now returning from their overwintering haunts in tropical southern climes.
