Millions of visitors flock to the Great Smoky Mountains every year, most of whom center the activity around Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. One community, however, often gets overlooked, which is a shame for those who aren’t aware of it. However, those who learn about Wears Valley soon come to discover that this quaint little hamlet offers all the essentials that go along with visiting the mountains and a whole lot more.
Wears Valley’s greatest asset is its views. Located in a level to gently rolling cove, the community is bordered on one side by towering mountains, including Cove Mountain. The juxtaposition of meadows and impressive peaks is a sight one normally only sees on a postcard.
Although the community is secluded, it is enhanced by its convenient location. One of our valley roads is a little-traveled shortcut that takes you directly into Great Smoky Mountains National Park, literally within just a handful of minutes. You’ll arrive at Metcalf Bottoms picnic area and have immediate access to the main road leading toward Cades Cove. Wears Valley is also less than 10 miles from Pigeon Forge, which means that when you’re ready to go see shows and attractions and eat at restaurants, you’re not far away.
At Volunteer Cabin Rentals, most of our luxury cabin-rental properties are located in this gem of a community called Wears Valley. We offer views of the mountain ridges, rolling green meadows, spring-fed streams, thick woodlands and more.
