Cabin Of The Week – Blue Ridge Retreat

Here’s a place to let the good times roll in the Great Smoky Mountains. With 3,400 square feet of living space and four king bedrooms, Blue Ridge Retreat would be an ideal vacation rental for four couples, two families with kids or even one large, extended family.

Enjoy the spaciousness of the main-level great room, where picture windows open up panoramic mountain and valley views and 30-foot beamed ceiling keeps claustrophobia from setting in. In winter, the stacked-stone fireplace (one of two) sets a cozy scene, while the big-screen TV serves as another focal point for groups gathered round for social times. In all, this cabin has five satellite TVs and six DVD players.

Speaking of socializing, the lower-level game room is a kid/teen magnet thanks to the pool table, air hockey table and foosball table. And like all our Pigeon Forge cabin rentals, Blue Ridge Retreat comes with an outdoor hot tub and a kitchen with all the appliances, dishes and cookware you’ll need to feed as many as 14 guests. If dining al fresco sounds more suitable, take advantage of the charcoal grill out on the deck.

Groups Are Welcome!

While our cabins in Pigeon Forge are indeed well suited for couples or families looking to enjoy some quality time together in the Smokies, we also have properties and facilities that are designed to accommodate visiting groups. Whether you’re putting together a travel package for a church retreat, corporate meeting or family reunion, we have both lodgings and meeting facilities that will meet your needs.

For example, we have single properties that are capable of sleeping as many as 44 guests, so we could easily fit a larger party into one or two units. Or we can even book clusters of cabins so that you can include as many people as you need and still retain the advantage of having every one in close proximity to each other.

Each of our cabins offers all the comforts of home and then some. Amenities include kitchens stocked with dishes and cookware, linens and towels, televisions and DVD players, pool tables, fireplaces, hot tubs and porches/decks for enjoying views of the mountains.

We also have meeting facilities in close proximity to our lodging, so you can keep your travel time and distance to a minimum. And if you’re a visiting church group, we can even help you apply for a tax-exemption number from the state.

Motorcycle-Friendly Accommodations

If your idea of fun is hopping on a two-wheeler and hitting the open road with the wind in your hair, you’re not alone. The Smokies are a great destination, especially for summertime travel. The sights are gorgeous, the routes are interesting, and there’s plenty to see and do while you’re in town.

You should also know that many of our Pigeon Forge cabins are well suited for those traveling by motorcycle. Some are able to accommodate motorcycle trailers, or if a specific property cannot, there’s a trailer lot near our main office where you can leave your trailer during your stay.

Our location serves motorcyclists well also. Wears Valley, which is in the shadows of Cove Mountain is a very scenic location, only a few miles from all the attractions, shops and restaurants of Pigeon Forge. If you head in the other direction, you’ll arrive in Townsend, TN, a charming foothills community with its own entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and destinations like Tremont and Cades Cove.

If you travel further into neighboring Blount County, you can access the famous Tail of the Dragon route, which leads to Deals Gap, North Carolina. This 11-mile stretch of U.S. 129 attracts bikers from all over the world thanks to its 318 turns and awesome views of the Great Smoky Mountains.
